Trsat Fortress

Trsat Fortress

The main tower of the fortress can be seen from any point in the town of Rijeka. The walls of the fortress reach the height of 20-25m. It was built in the 13th century, after it was destroyed in the 1750 's earthquake, completely rebuilt and turned into a luxurious castle with rose windows and Gothic ornaments.The main tower of the fortress there is a sightseeing area. Nowadays, there are exhibitions and concerts organized in the courtyards and halls of the fortress. There are summer cafe and a small museum operating.
The Fortress Nehaj

The Fortress Nehaj

The fortress is located near the town of Sinj, it was build in 1558 on the top of the Nehaj hill.The height of the fortress walls of Nehaj is 18meters and the walls made of stone blocks. It has 5 towers and over 100 gun-slots. The fortress has a large courtyard and cellars and open for tourist visits. There are different events and concerts organized in. The annual festival called Knight Days in Sinj. Open from July till October from 10:00-18:00.

The area of the nature park is 109sq. km, there is the Botanical garden and 2 reserves: Hajducki and Rozanski. The peak park of the mountain range has a special feature, and there is a cute for mountaineers and nature lovers. The most popular train is the Premuzic's trail. There are many rare plants growing on the territory of the Northern Vesebit park. Here is the deepest cave in Croatia and one of the ten deepest caves in the world: Lukina jama cave. You can get refuge by car from the Lika side through Krasno and from the sea side through Oltar. The crest of Vuchak where the climbers' refuge is located has a beautiful view of the sea.

Plitvice lakes are an oasis of virgin nature surrounded by mountains. There are 16 beautiful lakes with transparent blue-green water. Small rivers and springs constantly fill the lakes. Particularly interesting are the caves located under the waterfalls. There are about 152 species of birds, numerous kind of butterflies. The flora of the park consists of 1200 species of plants.The park Plitvice Lakes is open for visit every day from 7:00 to 20:00.

There are 3 caves. This cave os open from March till October every day from 10:00-18:00, ( in October and March only for the weekend and till 16:00)
